Plus, it’s impossible to predict how someone will pronounce the numbers (ex: 695=six ninety five/ six nine five). That does make sense, I imagine it would be incredibly tedious and time-consuming to program every number.

Another thing that could be improved on (but doesn’t really matter much) is that it doesn’t know the syllables of numbers. The way it colors rhymes is a really nice touch, and the search bar has helped me so much! I’ve even used it countless times unrelated to the song I’m writing because it’s so much easier than looking the stuff up! My only problem is that it sometimes freezes for a few seconds (but whatever I type while it’s frozen still shows up). This is an amazing app! I would’ve already rated it 5 stars before I even found out about the measure mode! And I really like how it has the syllables next to each line. It was an emotional song I had to spill out and now I don’t know what I wrote. It’s just totally unavailable to me and I’m heartbroken. Can’t quickly select any options from the menu. Now I can’t get it to open for one whole second. The first time it happened, after trying a dozen times at least, I just opened a file with a new name (note: it had to be a TOTALLY new name or it would behave just like the corrupted one) and reentered the lyrics because I also had them written elsewhere.īut this time, I was building this song from scratch in the app. When I go back in, I can open and edit any file except the one that shut down as though the file is somehow corrupted. I’m working fine on lyrics and suddenly it throws me out of the app. Unfortunately, twice now I have had songs which suddenly wouldn’t stay open anymore. Everything needed to build my songs all in one place. This helps keep the experience nice and clean. This allows you to keep track of anything related to your lyrics without having to clutter your lyric itself. Lyric also has a built-in notepad, which appears on the screen as a movable tab. This allows you to use the metronome either as an audio or visual reference. The metronome allows you to specify the BPMs and syncs with both the background of the application and the quarter measures (if in measure mode). This way you can work on your lyrics and see your search results simultaneously. After searching for a word your results are presented in a movable tab. Find rhymes and near rhymes for words you have already used or search for a synonym or definition for a word that just isn't quite right. Lyric also allows you to look up new words. The metronome will move along the quarter measures at your specified BPM (beats per minute) helping you to keep track when practicing your lyrics. Measure mode allows you to break your lyric into quarter measures. In measure mode, you also have a syllable counter for each quarter measure so that you can try to break your lyrics up evenly or create a unique syllable pattern. The syllable count is displayed to the left side of the screen. The syllable counter keeps track of the syllables in each line of your lyric. You also have options like increasing rhyme sensitivity to include near rhymes and only matching words at the end of the line. Whenever you finish typing, rhyming words with automatically be color-coded. Lyric automatically checks your lyrics for rhymes. This is a powerful tool which allows users to keep track of their melody and never gets confused which recording goes with which verse. Record yourself performing and attach it to any part of your lyrics. Lyric's newest feature is a built-in recorder. Follow Lyric on its new Twitter and Facebook for future updates and promotional content.
